There is a widespread opinion: St. Petersburg is called in honor of the founder, tsar Peter I. Literal translation of the name from German is "Fortress of St. Peter". People suppose that St. Peter was a patron saint of the first Russian emperor. But in fact real reason for the relationship between city and apostle is totally different. After the foundation of the new capital Peter I refers to it as a "paradise" in his letters. St. apostle Peter was considered a paradise key-keeper. Peter I dreamt about city-paradise on the bank of the Neva River. Therefore he named it St. Petersburg.

Transport		 Drivers I work with are my old partners. They are professionals of the tourist buisiness. Theirs cars are always in the best possible condition. Manager gives a call to the taxi company. He has no idea of how your car looks like and how skilled your driver is. He asks only for car number.

Museums		 You have an opportunity to visit any museum of the city without queues that are very often. You just get a guide and you loose your time in queue together with him

Cost		 You pay $20 for me and $20 for car per hour. For example, $120 is a cost of 3 hours city-tour. If you want to visit museums you also pay ticket price. You pay the same price (guide, car, tickets) + taxi company profit + tour agency profit.

Guarantee		 You pay in the end of the tour. You can always apply for recommendations to the institutions listed in the "Recommendations" page. You deal with me without any agents and that's me who is totaly responsible for your tour. You should pay your tour in advance. If the car or the guide are not nice it is almost impossible to get money back. Recommendations are almost unknown in Russian tour agencies.
